The National Testing Agency conducts the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), facilitating admission into various PG programmes. CUET (PG) 2024 will act as a common platform providing equal opportunities to candidates nationwide, especially those from rural and remote areas. It’s a single application form that will enable the candidates to cover a comprehensive outreach and be part of the admissions process of various participating institutions and universities.
The government has assigned the National Testing Agency to conduct this national-level test called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 for admission to the Postgraduate (PG) programmes starting from the academic session 2024-2025.
Details of CUET PG 2024
Banaras Hindu University, Central Universities of Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Etc, and other Universities and Institutions are participating in the CUET PG, but this list is dynamic and could change during the registration process. Candidates are advised to watch the official website for the latest information. All these universities would allow admission to selected individuals across multiple disciplines, and many of these are dream institutes for many aspiring candidates.

The duration for online registration and submission of the application form for CUET (PG) 2024 is from December 26, 2023, to January 24, 2024, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully while filling out the application form. The candidates can only use the online method to apply for the exam and must be through the official NTA website: http://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/
Important Instructions for Filling Out CUET (PG) Form
Candidates need to log in with the system-generated application number and a pre-created password to complete the application form containing all the required information. The information includes educational qualification, University/Institute/Organization and programme selection, test paper details and choosing examination cities.

The candidate must then upload a scanned image of a recent photograph and signature within the prescribed parameters. They should then ensure that the uploaded photo and signature on the application form are clear and not blurry; otherwise, the form can be rejected.

After filling out the application form and checking if all the details are accurate, candidates can move on to the next step: paying the requisite examination fee. This fee can be submitted online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI Services. However, processing charges and GST shall be charged to the candidate.
The confirmation page of the online application will be generated only after the successful completion of payment. If the form is not generated, the candidate is advised to refer to the bank or payment gateway authority for details and a refund if required. Candidates must ensure that all the details are correct. They must also provide the correct e-mail address and mobile number.
It should be noted that the information provided by the candidate in their respective online application forms, such as name, contact details, category, gender, PwBD Status, Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, etc, are accurate as they can not be changed under any circumstances.
During the online form filling, the candidate must choose a password and a security question as a security measure. Candidates must remember these details and should not disclose this information to anyone.
CUET (PG) Economics
Candidates seeking post-graduation can appear for the CUET (PG) Economics. Before January 2022, no separate and standardised Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Economics existed. Even if there’s a separate economics test, the exam’s eligibility criteria remain the same.
Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in economics or related field from a recognised university. They should also score a minimum percentage of marks required for eligibility, which might differ from university to university. Although there is no specific age limit for PG admission through CUET, aspiring candidates are advised to check the university’s guidelines before applying.
Universities provide the reservation criteria as per the government guidelines. However, it should be noted that some additional requirements like work experience or specific courses completed during an undergraduate degree. Hence, going through the official website before applying is highly recommended.
